Docks and Slipways:
Most construction docks and/or slipways were to be found along isolated river banks where the actual construction of a vessel took place. However, some
more elaborate facilities were constructed within major shipbuilding centers to facilitate the repair, maintenance, and construction of ships supporting
a major shipping industry.
